Ekamukhalingam are lingam represented with a single anthropomorphic image of Shiva. These stylized phalluses indicate Shiva’s potency as creator of the universe and are typically enshrined in Hindu temples dedicated to the god. Symbolically, the lingam represents a cosmic pillar or axis mundi (world axis) that links heaven and earth.
